chord progressions in APA

Postby Axeman » Fri Aug 08, 2008 3:48 pm

I am wondering about the chord progressions in APA. I am up to 237th level in C. the chord progressions seem to play very weird rhythms. The first chord plays only for an instant and then the second one plays continuously until I play another button. It means you have to really hear instantly when the first chord sounds (especially if it contains the target pitch) as the second one (especially if it doesn't contain the target) can distract you. Is this meant to be?

Also the statistics are not wortking properly. only the c stats work the rest show the date as 1912 and 100% errors.

That doesn't sound at all right-- please e-mail me your ETCAvenueScores file and I'll see if I can re-create and fix the error.

If you're on a Mac it's in your "preferences" folder; if you're on PC it's in your "Application Data" folder.

Chord playing

Postby Axeman » Wed Aug 27, 2008 2:01 pm

Hi Chris,
The chords are still playing in the same way as above. When the chord progressions play they play the fisrt chord really quickly and the second one continues to sound until you play another button. I hav ethe latest version. Is this the way it is supposed to happen?

I have found the error.. now I need to fix it. You're not yet at the chord progressions-- you're at pairs of harmonic intervals-- and what's happening is that the timing is off. It's playing tones in groups of 1, 2, 1 instead of 2, 2, and that extra 1 is what's sustaining.

Of course I programmed this in a clever manner, so I have to re-figure what clever trick I used so I can make it work properly.
