Added option for piano-key responses in APB (instead of pressing "V").

Now, in APB, blue button #1 always contains the current target pitch.

Octaves are back in; they appear before each new pitch is introduced.

"Fast melodies" are out and probably won't come back again until I can do some structural stuff.

Version number is bumped up to 4.2.

You can press ESC to stop any timers that are running (i'm hoping this will quash infinite loops).

Fixed a bug that disallowed clicking the green button when piano keys were enabled.

PLEASE NOTE: This update will reset your rank to Red Cadet, although your wave-flag count will remain the same.

New games no longer demote you to 4th class of the rank. You begin instead at the beginning of the same rank/class where you ended the previous game.

Interval Loader now allows you to choose exactly which instruments will be used during the random-timbre levels of the game.

Interval Loader: Random instruments can now be enabled at any time.

APB: An acceleration factor has been added so that the longer you go without errors, the more quickly you level up.

Menu option added to make acceleration optional.

Acceleration has been capped.

APB now saves your rank each time it changes, instead of only at the end of the game.

Chordfall has been replaced with "Chordhopper"; ETC is now v5.

I will still probably need to do some debugging before I release v5 officially, but if you are a current ETC user and want to try the prerelease then please let me know.

Chordhopper changes:

When pointing at a chord icon, the tiles of its corresponding pitch components (at the top of the screen) light up.

When a player mis-identifies a chord, they hear the chord they clicked (and are shown its icon).

The center tile displays a question mark to indicate when the game is waiting for a response.

When selecting single tones in Chordhopper, the game was not playing the player's response, but the target tone instead. Now fixed.

Interval loader bug

Postby mblaisus » Sat Mar 24, 2007 2:19 am

:?:

Hi Cris

No matter how many times I check or recheck "remember Level",
loader will not let me choose a different starting level other than
level 4. Even if I try to go DOWN to a different level, I get a pop-up that tells me I have not unlocked that level yet. whenever I start a new game, it starts at level 4. I have been up to levels in the twenties, but it still will not let me choose a level higher (or lower) than 4 when I close and then start a new game. I am very tired of playing levels 4-28 as I can easily play with zero errors to that point!! Something a litle more challenging, please!!

Mike :( :(
