Just wanted to share this, it's really cool.
I found a great video segment from the BBC special "Do You See What I See?" It illustrates what Chris and others have been saying about the ways language seems to determine how we see colors.
I understood that the Russian language contains two color words for what, (in English) is simply the color blue. But the differences between the Himba tribe and the way most Westerners see color was really startling to me. Try to see if you can distinguish between the different shades of green as easily as the people in this video can! To them, these are totally different colors!
