Anyone want to help with AP / PP research ??

Postby Vanderman » Mon Oct 12, 2009 7:43 am

I am a musician and tutor in the North West UK and am currently trying to speak with people with perfect pitch / absolute pitch.
As it is 1 in 10,000 people who have it, i have never met anyone else with perfect pitch
I have perfect pitch and have been a musician since being very young (age 5)
my father has very good relative pitch and he discovered i had this ability.

Please contact me through here if you can help me with my research
would be nice to speak to other possessors of perfect pitch.

Take Care

I'm interested to hear your observations re the value of having perfect pitch (you may have read my post "does it help?".
I have good relative pitch, and since finishing APB (I'm doing APA at the moment), I'm usually able to tune my guitar from loose stringed, to within a semitone of concert pitch. Don't know if that qualifies me as having perfect pitch, though.
Incidentally, how is your relative pitch ability?
cheers, Bill Payne (Tonejam).
